Our Programs
Let's train your dream dog!
Are you tired of feeling overwhelmed, stressed, afraid or embarrassed of your dog’s behaviour?
If you are done arguing with your partner or family over your dog, and are ready for more peace and calm in your house, you have come to the right place.
If everyone is communicating with the dog in their own way, then the 'commands' are open to your dog's interpretation. As the species with the advantage of language and advanced cognition, wouldn't you agree that it's easier for us to coordinate rather than expect the dog to make a leap?
Check out the programs below to see what suits your needs best. The main difference between the programs is the amount of time we spend together, the amount of legwork I undertake, and the after-course support.
Be Your Dog's Main Trainer
Join our weekend group obedience training class where I teach you the techniques on how to train your dog, and you train your dog in your own time throughout the week.
This option is most suitable for people who are generally happy with their dog’s responsiveness and simply want some help teaching basic commands like leash walking, sit, and lie down in a more systematic and reliable way. Or perhaps you want to desensitise your dog to novel stimulus, like the presence of other dogs and people.
- Join a single class or sign up for a 10-session course.
- Train your dog in real-life public settings like parks, cafes, and the beach.
- Teach your dog to focus on you and remain calm around people and dogs.
- Learn from collective experience.
Knock Knock, Let’s Get Training!
Whether you have just brought home a young new puppy and want to start on the right foot, or have recently had changes within the home or family that is causing your dog to exhibit concerning behaviour, there is a strategy to guide your dog harmoniously and compassionately.
This program offers the convenience of training within your own home, i.e. your dog’s natural habitat, where the problems are occurring. This is not an off-the-shelf course, but a completely customised course to turn your stress into a lifetime of smiles.
- Program typically completed in 12 sessions or less - outcome-oriented.
- Address specific concerns that arise at home through simulated or safely orchestrated real scenarios.
- Includes ongoing support in the form of up to 10 group classes.
- In one course, we can reliably cover up to 2 goals from the following: obedience training, toilet training, house manners, separation anxiety, aggression towards other dogs or people, confidence building, recall (come command), grooming or handling concerns at the vet's, or puppy socialisation and training.
- Completely customisable program: Dog stressed or aggressive at the vets or groomers? Let’s fix that! Can't sit still in the car? Let’s go for a drive!
Residential Training Program
Send your dog to live with me at my house, where your dog will be looked after and trained like my own. This exclusive program is limited to 1 case per month to ensure that your dog gets all the attention it deserves, and that it is not neglected as it may be in a kennel full of dogs.
During their stay, they will be involved in everything I do, just as your dog is likely to be at your own house (from walks to car rides, and cafe or park trips to daily life within the house). The end goal determines the duration of stay.
- Basic obedience program with plenty of real-world exposure and 3 follow-up lessons.
- Off-leash reliable program with up to 6 private follow-up lessons to bring you up to speed so you are also able to maintain your dog's training in any environment.
- Lifelong support in the form of unlimited access to group classes + 1 private follow-up lesson annually to ensure training doesn't slip over time.
- The goals of this program cater to your specific requirements and lifestyle.
- Residential training isn't like sending your dog off to get a software update. He will learn numerous skills while he is with me, but without training you alongside your dog, the results will not last.
- Are you ready to be the dog-hooman team that is the envy of the island?
